Is there a contract?
Yes, there is a contract that will need to be signed prior to starting service. A Technical Advisor will work with you to meet your needs.
How long until I receive service?
Service can be turned on in a matter of weeks. Remember, iAreaNet configures your phones for you so all you have to do is unpack and plug in.
Can I choose any area code?
We are able to give you a number with almost any area code.
What happens to my current number? I can't give customers a new number.
We will simply have your current provider port your number, so customers can still dial the number they are familiar with.
How do the phones sound?
The phones are extremely clear and sound almost identical to regular landline phones.
How reliable are the phones?
As long as you have an Internet connection, your phone will work.
Can I complete calls from VoIP to PSTN lines and vice versa?
Yes, all calls including local, long distance and international can be made or received to/from PSTN lines.
What will I need to receive phone service?
iAreaNet recommends a high-speed broadband connection (cable or DSL) for optimum quality. Dial-up can be used if necessary.
Is it difficult to set up?
Not at all. Simply unpack your phone, plug it in and within seconds you can begin making phone calls.
What kind of support will I receive?
You will be assigned a personal Technical Advisor who will help troubleshoot and answer any questions you have.
