Two Staten Island
Technology Companies Join Forces to Offer Clients
Greater Quality Service
On June 19th, 2007 Bill
Dubovsky, President of
Comtel Information Services
and iAreanet Certified Partner, gave a seminar entitled
“Staten Island Stories” at Wagner College on Staten
Island. Vice President of Operations at Iareanet, Emily
Guggino, attended the conference.
Ms
Guggino says, “Bill gave a compelling argument that
addressed the short comings of American businesses today
when compared to Japanese business moguls.” She
continued to explain, “It’s important that I attend
seminars held by our business partners, to offer our
support of their initiatives. iAreanet values it’s
partners and offers support whenever and where ever we
can. They’re success is just as if not more so
important than ours.”
Mr. Dubovsky’s seminar focused on how to make a company
world class and introduced Japanese management style as
the exemplar. Throughout the seminar Bill juxtaposed
the success of the Japanese to DEC, a technology company
that developed the first mini-computer, and whose
management style ultimately lead to their demise. One
main point that hit home for Ms. Guggino, was the
mention of the Japanese approach to customer service.
According to Bill Dubovsky, the Japanese treat customers
as KAMI or deity. iAreanet is constantly working to
ensure that their clients needs are met, it’s important
to be reminded that we must continually strive to
satisfy our clients and listen to their needs, as they
are the most important aspect keeping our business
growing.
Overall, the seminar was
informative; Bill left the audience with thought
provoking information to examine our own management
styles and concluded with providing the audience with a
long list of summer reading!
